So yesterday morning I found out applications would be posted on the 6th and became extremely excited. Around 10:15pm central time I was searching on the Disney College Program Facebook page and noticed a girl commenting on something saying she just applied. My heart started racing, so i went to the website (disneycollegeprogram.com) and the girl wasn't lieing! I could finally apply! I expected the application to take at least an hour, but I was wrong. It asked the initial questions like: Are you 18? Where did/ do you go to school? What's your work experience?. It also asked my first and second choice programs. After I answered those it brought up all the jobs available for CP's and you had to choose for each of them: High Interest, Moderate Interest, Low Interest, or No Interest. I've heard that if you do not want to do a job tell them no so you don't get stuck, so I made sure to do so. After I filled those in, it asked me if I'd be willing to work at Disneyland for the program. I'd prefer Walt Disney World, but hey better California then nothing! Then it of course asked about my criminal record(which is clean) and that was about it. All in all it took about 15 minutes. Right after I finished the application I decided to go to web. I woke up in the middle of the night and my phone said I had 5 new messages! 2 of which were thank you e-mails for applying and one saying I was selected for the Web Based Interview! I was so excited that I changed my alarm clock to wake me up earlier so I could do the WBI before I headed to class today. I woke up, had some breakfast and headed to the computer. The first set of question on the WBI were about living (ex. your cleanliness, need for personal space, who you'd prefer to live you). The next set of questions were multiple choice questions and I had 50 seconds to complete each of them. Most of them were What would you do? and preference questions about working. The last set of questions on the WBI were rating 1-5 which I had 20 seconds to answer each. I had been told previously NEVER ANSWER NEUTRAL! So I definitely steered clear of that answer. Luckily, I had a great day at work yesterday where I worked very hard, got a lot done and pleased my managers, so while answering these questions I was thinking back to my work day yesterday and how good I did (not that I don't work hard every other day), but it was a good confidence booster! Once I finished which took me about a half hour, the screen changed and said Congratulations- you have been identified as a strong candidate! your next step is to schedule a phone interview. You will have the ability to schedule your interview appointment in approx. 24 hours and that they would email me when I could. I figured I wouldn't get the email until later in the day, so I started getting ready for school. about 10 minutes later my phone went off and it was the email that I could schedule my interview. Wow that was fast! So I went to log into my CP account to schedule and it wouldn't log it! I literally tried about 20 times and almost started to have a heart attack, so I called the recruiting office. The lady I talked to was very nice, but had to put me on hold a few times. While on hold I figured I'd try to log in on my own one more time. I finally got it! A weight lifted off my shoulders! So I scheduled my interview for Friday, Sept. 9th at 12:15pm. The lady finally came back on the phone and I told her I finally got in and was scheduled and thanked her anyways! Now I am so excited but nervous for my interview. I haven't even decided exactly what my top 3 choices are for where to work or which housing complex I prefer to live in! I better get on that! I'll update again friday after the interview, wish me luck!
